About The Seed School
Where Little Seeds Grow Into Bright Futures
We started The Seed School with one belief: every child deserves a warm, safe place to learn and grow, and every family deserves a village they can trust.
About Us | The Seed School
Rooted in care, growing with every family we welcome.
Our Story
The Seed School was founded in 2019 by Serena Spearman. Serena grew up watching her mother, also named Serena, build a childcare business that families in the community trusted for more than 20 years. She carried that same passion and expertise into The Seed School, where every child gets the care and attention a family would give.
Our Mission
Every child is a seed full of potential. We provide the care, attention, and foundation they need to grow.
Meet Our Founder
Serena Spearman is the founder and owner of The Seed School. Childcare has been part of her life since she was a child, watching her mother care for neighborhood families for more than two decades. Today Serena leads two West Philadelphia locations, Chestnut Street and 52nd Street, with the same belief she grew up with: every child deserves to be treated like family.
Serena’s credentials and years in early childhood education will be added here if she’d like them listed.
